New Mitsubishi Delica Concept
New Mitsubishi Delica Concept Leaks Before Tokyo Motor Show
http://www.carscoops.com/2017/08/new-mi ... leaks.html
Prior to October's 2017 Tokyo Motor Show, images of the bold new Mitsubishi Delica Concept have leaked online.
Indian Autos Blog reports that the next-generation Delica is based on the same platform as the Mitsubishi Outlander and will come standard with the company's Super All Wheel Control system.
What's immediately noticeable about the Delica is that its design is very similar to the new Mitsubishi Xpander, but like the outgoing Delica, it adopts a more rugged design better suited for off-road use.
For example, the front includes a prominent skid plate and a set of large circular fog lights. The ride height also appears slightly higher than the Xpander's, and the roofline makes the vehicle much more rectangular than its sibling. This is most obvious with the vertical rear window, roof racks and large third-row side windows.
Power for the model will reportedly come from a 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel, delivering 170 PS (167 HP) and around 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque.

Mitsubishi Tames The Delica Minivan Concept For Production

Mitsubishi has been developing an all-new Delica for quite some time, recently previewing it with the Xpander and Delica Concepts last year. Now, our eagle-eyed spy photographers at CarPix have managed to snap a prototype up close.
Despite the camouflage covering this prototype, it is obvious that the production-spec Delica will look quite similar to last year’s concept. Most notably, it will feature split headlights and includes short front and rear overhangs.
Evidently eager to maximize interior space, Mitsubishi has designed an elongated roof that stays at the same height all the way to the rear window. As such, the new Delica will comfortably seat seven people and looks to be particularly airy, thanks also to the generously-proportioned side windows. There’s even a small side window between the A-pillars and wing mirrors.
Compared to the front, the rear looks particularly tame compared to the concept. Rather than having taillights which stretch up the D-pillars and along the rear three-quarter panels, the production-spec car appears to have adopted much smaller lights.
Beyond the styling modifications, our sources tell us that the Delica will feature the same platform as the Mitsubishi Outlander. Additionally, the Japanese marque’s Super All Wheel Control system will be standard on all new Delicas sold. Power is tipped to come from a 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel mill delivering roughly 170 hp.
The new-generation Mitsubishi Delica should premiere later this year.

Despite the camouflage covering this prototype, it is obvious that the production-spec Delica will look quite similar to last year’s concepts, combining the squared body of the Delica with the sharper face of the Xpander. Most notably, it will feature split headlights and includes short front and rear overhangs.
