Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) va prezenta în premieră mondiala noul SUV Compact Eclipse Cross în cadrul Salonului Auto Internaţional de la Geneva.

Eclipse Cross este un model strategic global care va fi introdus întâi în Europa în toamna acestui an, iar apoi în Japonia, America de Nord, Australia şi alte regiuni.

Noul SUV compact coupe Eclipse Cross se va alătura gamei globale MMC de SUV-uri crossover: SUV-ul compact ASX 2 şi SUV-urilor medii Outlander şi Outlander PHEV.





Eclipse Cross este o fuziune între aspectul unui coupe şi mobilitatea dinamică a unui SUV cu stilul şi performanţele proprii Mitsubishi. Alte caracteristici distinctive sunt design-ul ce motivează şoferul să se urce la volan, conectivitatea ce te împinge spre noi aventuri şi tehnologia de control pe toate roţile, care furnizează senzaţia liniştitoare din timpul condusului ce promite o experienţă plăcută.

Eclipse Cross foloseşte un sistem 4WD care furnizează un cuplu optim preponderent către roţile din spate, în funcţie de situaţie şi de condiţiile de drum. Sistemul include funcţia MMC de control al dinamicii vehiculului Super All-wheel Control (S-AWC), care acum dispune de AYC *7 activat de frâne.

Adăugarea unui lonjeron în 3 puncte în faţă şi utilizarea strategică a legăturii structurale în spate în particular, a îmbunătăţit rigiditatea caroseriei. Caroseria mai rezistentă şi optimizarea detaliilor suspensiei conduc la o manevrare exactă şi o stabilitate superioară a vehiculului.


Eclipse Cross este oferit cu două sisteme de propulsie care onorează un SUV coupe stilat în furnizarea echilibrului corect între forţă şi performanţe de mediu. Noul motor pe benzină 1,5L turbo-alimentat, cu injecţie directă este combinat cu o nouă transmisie CVT cu 8 viteze cu functie Sport Mode.

Motorul diesel de 2,2 L common rail cu injecţie directă turbo-alimentat dezvoltat special pentru Eclipse Cross este cuplat cu o nouă transmisie automată cu 8 viteze. Ambele combinații ale sistemului de propulsie oferă conducătorului auto o experiență intensă.

Mitsubishi has revealed details of its sportiest SUV, the Eclipse Cross, ahead of its official debut at next week’s Geneva motor show. The Japanese brand is set to fill a gap in its soft-roader portfolio between the baby ASX and mid-sized Outlander with the Eclipse Cross.

It has released a host of official images showcasing the car’s sharp-edged styling and swoopy-roofed profile, as well as limited technical information that confirms it will be offered with a new-generation 1.5-litre petrol four-cylinder engine or the company’s existing 2.2-litre turbo diesel. The petrol engine will be hooked-up to a new continuously variable transmission with eight pre-set gear ratios while the turbo diesel will have a conventional torque-converter automatic with eight gears.

Aesthetically, the Eclipse Cross gets the same Dynamic Shield front-end design as the ASX and the Outlander, plus a new red exterior paint. Inside, the Eclipse Cross gets a tablet-like infotainment system with a Smartphone Link Display Audio system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone mirroring apps. It also gets a touchpad controller and head-up display.

Mitsubishi Prices New Eclipse Cross From £21,275 In The UK

The new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is going on sale in the UK this January, with three available trim levels and an entry-level price of £21,275 OTR.

All version will be powered by an all-new 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol unit, putting down 163 horses and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. Apart from the six-speed manual transmission, buyers will be able to opt for a new automatic with Sport mode (paddle shifters) as well.

Also available are two and four-wheel drive systems, the latter using Mitsubishi's latest Super All-wheel Control (S-AWC) tech, which offers a choice of three drive modes - Auto, Snow and Gravel.

The entry level '2' version comes with a touch-pad controller, smartphone display audio (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), rear view camera, DAB radio with six speakers, cruise control, climate control, LED DRLs, Bluetooth, 16" alloys, privacy glass and heated door mirrors.

Eclipse Cross 3 versions (Manual - £22,575 / Automatic £23,850 / Automatic 4WD £25,350) add 18" alloys, a heads-up display, heated front seats, front and rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and start, electrically folding door mirrors, silver side sills and an electronic handbrake for the automatic versions.

The flagship Ecliose Cross 4 models cost £24,975 (manual) and £27,900 (Automatic 4WD) respectively, and feature leather trim, electrically-adjustable driver's seat, electric opening panoramic roof, Rockford Fosgate sound system with nine speakers, plus a suite of driver assistance systems such as LED headlights, 360-degree parking camera, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control (on automatic models only).

Finally, in order to celebrate the launch of the Eclipse Cross in the UK, Mitsubishi is also selling a special £26,825 'First Edition' version, with only 250 units to be produced. This will have a premium paint finish, carbon-finish bumper corner and side extension kit with red inserts, plus additional silver styling details to the front and rear.

Am vazut masina live ieri, un model de preproductie ce arata impecabil,masina va fi expusa in Baneasa Shopping City in acest weekend.

Motorul diesel de 2.2 va fi cuplat la o cutie automata in 8 trepte dar deocamdata nu avem un termen de livrare sau preturi pentru varianta pe motorina.

Primul lot de masini va intra in tara dupa jumatatea lunii Decembrie.

Mitsubishi aduce în România noul SUV Eclipse Cross. Exemplarul promis de japonezi este unul de pre-producție și va putea fi admirat în intervalul 22 septembrie - 6 octombrie în mai multe orașe din țară.


La începutul acestui an, Mitsubishi a prezentat noul SUV Eclipse Cross. Modelul constructorului nipon mizează pe un design atractiv și pe un interior cu elemente moderne.

Noul Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross va putea fi admirat de publicul din România în perioada 22 septembrie - 6 octombrie. Exemplarul trimis în țară este unul de pre-producție, asamblarea urmând să demareze în luna octombrie, în Japonia, iar primele unități sunt așteptate în România până la finalul anului curent.

Exemplarul Eclipse Cross va fi expus în următoarele locuri: Băneasa Shopping City București (22 - 24 septembrie), Vivo! Constanța (26 - 27 septembrie), Palas Mall Iași (28 - 29 septembrie), Coresi Mall Brașov (30 septembrie - 2 octombrie), showroom-ul Mecatronics Sibiu (3 - 4 octombrie) și Iulius Mall Cluj (6 - 7 octombrie).

Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross promite un interior presărat cu elemente moderne. Punctul de atracție îl reprezintă ecranul central sub forma unei tablete. Sistemul de infotainment oferă contectivitate Aple CarPlay și Android Auto. De asemenea, Eclipse Cross plusează și cu un Head-Up Display.

Gama de motorizări propusă de Mitsubishi include un motor pe benzină de 1.5 litri turbo cuplat la o cutie de tip CVT și un diesel de 2.2 litri "împerecheat" cu o transmisie automată cu opt rapoarte.

BSSP Wins Mitsubishi as the Brand Prepares to Boost Marketing

Butler Shine Stern & Partners has traded Mini for Mitsubishi.

The Sausalito, California-based independent agency, which resigned the U.S. Mini account in March, will take over as Mitsubishi's agency of record for creative, social and digital duties after a review, according to the automaker. Mitsubishi recently parted ways with Omnicom Group's 180LA after a seven-year relationship.

Mini, which is owned by BMW, has yet to name a new U.S. agency. BSSP severed ties with the brand in March prior to an anticipated review. Now the agency takes over Mitsubishi as the brand prepares to increase its marketing spending ahead of two new vehicle introductions: the new Eclipse Cross compact crossover and a plug-in hybrid version of its top-selling Outlander brand.

Francine Harsini, senior director of marketing for Mitsubishi Motors North America, says the brand considered a long list of agencies. With the new vehicles coming, "it was just really time to reevaluate where we stood with the brand and the future," she says. BSSP is "a really, really good fit with us from a chemistry standpoint."

Mitsubishi Motors North America sold 70,765 vehicles in the first eight months of the year, up 5.4% from the year-earlier period, according to Automotive News. The brand was bolstered by its Outlander, whose sales grew 32.6 percent to 23,260. Mitsubishi Motors spent $86.9 million on measured media last year, according to Kantar Media.

Nissan Motor Co. last October acquired a 34% equity stake in Mitsubishi Motors, bringing it into the global Renault-Nissan Alliance.

Membership in the alliance means the brand is able to get better media rates, says Harsini. Nissan is still a competitor, "but there are synergies that can be had by purchasing and media is just one of them," she says. In the U.S., PHD handles Mitsubishi media buying and OMD handles Nissan; both agencies are part of Omnicom Media Group.

Mitsubishi on Aug. 21 sought to build buzz for its new 2018 Eclipse Cross compact crossover by linking it to the solar eclipse. The brand live-streamed the eclipse while bringing social influencers from 10 countries to view it in Salem, Ore. Live-stream viewers were also shown the new vehicle, which is slated to go on sale early next year. Mitsubishi also sponsored ABC News' coverage of the eclipse and captured footage for future global marketing purposes.
